Fronsac, ancestral wine region of the country carried by Cardinal Richelieu and his little nephew who made it the most prestigious wines of the kingdom.

The Château de La Dauphine, testifies to this royal past by its name: memory of the stay at the property, of Marie-Josèphe de Saxe, Dauphine of France and mother of the last kings of France including Louis XVI. Since the 18th century, La Dauphine has shared a strong common history with Versailles, which still resonates today.

The Château de La Dauphine, nestled in an arc of the Dordogne river, is set in a hilly vineyard, of 53 hectares (85% Merlot and 15% Cabernet Franc), located on the best terroirs of the appellation, composed, between others, of clay and limestone with asterias.

Certified Organic Agriculture in 2015, La Dauphine reinforces its ethical philosophy with biodynamic driving, as well as obtaining various environmental certifications such as the High Environmental Value level 3 label. Thanks to this work that respects life and a controlled plot vinification, using the most modern technical buildings in the region, the Château de La Dauphine is positioned as one of the essential properties of Bordeaux to offer you a complete range of great red, white and rosé wines expressing finesse as well as complexity of their terroir.

The Château de La Dauphine therefore stands out for the quality of its historical and technical architecture but also for its desire to be a property strongly open to wine tourism. Through a rich collection of tours, workshops and lunches, La Dauphine invites visitors to live a unique experience at the heart of its values. Rewarded multiple times in the Best of Wine Tourism competition, La Dauphine is the only property in Bordeaux to have 4 GOLD and an international award.
