Two days during which 29 castles open their doors to you, in an exceptional way, around visits and tastings, entertainment and architectural heritage.

At the confluence of two rivers, L'Isle and the Dordogne, the terroirs of Fronsac and Canon Fronsac marry superb landscapes of plateaus and hillsides. These soils are mainly clay-limestone and Merlot is the predominant grape variety alongside Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon.

The Fronsac appellation covers 800 hectares and Canon Fronsac, one of the smallest appellation in Bordeaux, covers 300 hectares.

A unique opportunity for beginners or amateurs to come and discover or rediscover these appellations.

Many activities will be organized:

  • introduction to tasting at the Maison des Vins de Fronsac with the Bordeaux Wine School
  • a small tourist train offers you a free guided walk in the Fronsadais vineyards
  • but if you prefer to move around on your own, there is the possibility of renting electric bikes
  • and also: guided walks, a contest, artist exhibitions, tastings of local products, creative workshops for children aged 6 to 11...

Entertainment
